The Waffle Press is Wanaka's newest dessert location. Situated in the heart of Wanaka at 42 Brownston St, serving Liege & Brussels Waffles and Real Fruit Ice Cream.
Blend had the pleasure of working with The Waffle Press to create their brand identity and icon designs. With a vintage caravan waiting in the wings for a fresh lick of paint, the brief was simple; deliver a clean, retro-inspired brand, an ode to the caravans 1950s heritage all while telling a clear story of waffles and ice cream at a glance.
With this in mind Blend developed a whimsical logo, complete with a custom set of icons in a soft, ice cream inspired pastel palette. The combo of these elements hit the nail on the head with a unique playful, vibe for The Waffle Press caravan.
A playful icon suite was developed for The Waffle Press brand. A tool designed to be scaled up or down, used as a repeat pattern or large scale motifs for signage, neon lighting and future promotional opportunities.
