Located just ten-minutes’ drive around the lake from Wanaka (and conveniently our studio), visitors and Wanaka locals have access to a network of trails, winding over 1000 hectares of epic landscape. The best bit, all of Bike Glendhu’s mountain bike trails will remain as sympathetic as possible to the natural topography. All buildings will be sensitively positioned within the landscape, solar powered and 100% off-the-grid. What’s not to love?

We are stoked to partner with Bike Glendhu on an ongoing basis. We have worked alongside Bike Glendhu on a range of disciplines including their brand logo, logo mark, brand guideline, website and signage system. We took a holistic approach to the project by carefully planning how all elements of the brand will interact moving forward. Digital, design and print applications have aligned, resulting in a strong and consistent brand message.

Extensive trail sign and map system

Within any outdoor action-sport, safety and navigation is key. We were givent the brief of making the network of trails easy to follow through a series of trail signs and large trail maps around the park.

The brief had a large emphasis on sustainability with trail expansion in mind over the first few years of the park. Rather than the requested temporary signs, we proposed a signage system utilising the recycled ACM (Aluminium Composite Material) that is easily re-skinned for trail changes—saving cost and waste with an environmentally conscious material.
